Self-Care Acupressure Regime:
肩井穴 Jianjiang (GB-21):
-For stiffness of neck and shoulders.
Location: Highest point of the trapezius muscles on the sagittal (anterior posterior) plan.
**Self-Care acupressure regimen: Pressing on 肩井穴 Jianjiang with index and middle finger, median firm pressure for 2 minutes.**
天宗穴 Tianzong (SI-11):
-Used local point for any pain of the scapular region (whether due to sprain, poor posture, overuse)
Location: On the scapula, in a tender depression one third of the distance from the midpoint of the inferior border of scapular spine to the inferior angle of the scapula.
**Self-Care acupressure regimen: Pressing on 天宗穴 Tianzong with index and middle finger, firm pressure for 2 minutes.**
-Essential point for any patterns of headache in any region of the head.
Location: Close to the base of the skull, in the hollow between the origin of sternomastoid and trapezius muscles. This point is normally located as the most tender point of the hollow.
**Self-Care acupressure regimen: Pressing on 風池穴 Fengchi with both hands (thumb), firm pressure for 2 minutes.**
太陽穴 Taiyang (M-HN-9):
-For one-side headache, dizziness, and disease of eyes such as redness, swelling and pain
Location: At the temple, in the tender depression between eyebrow and the eye.
**Self-Care acupressure regimen: Pressing on 太陽穴 Taiyang with thumb, light pressure for 2 minutes.**
攢竹 Zanzhu (BL-2):
Location: At the medial end of the eyebrow, on the supraorbital notch.
